On the 22nd of August Africa Unite held its first school club executive meeting at Dialogue House in Cape Town. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the five learners who were selected as executive members from each of the following schools
Phakama High School (Philippi), Spes Bona High School(Athlone) and Zonnebloem Nest Senior School(Woodstock), about
the rules and regulations of the AU School Club. The executive members were also given the opportunity to understand the role of the advisory board and Africa Unite.
This session followed the
last meeting which was held on the 15th of August between Africa Unite and the advisory board of each of the three schools. The schools advisory board is composed of the matron, patron and a member from community where the school is located .

During the session the learners had the chance to ask questions of clarity and interact with executive members from other schools. One of the major highlights of the day was the allocation
of the portfolio committees as follows-
- President
- Minister of Finance
- Minister of Information and Public relations
- Minister of Sports, Culture and Entertainment
- Minister of Social development
All the presidents from the three schools were given a few minutes to give their vision for their country (school). The

president and the ministers were excited about their new portfolio and are eager to fulfill their duties. The executive is planning a team building trip next week where they will take a Cape Town tour to, Slave Lodge Museum, Signal Hill, Camps Bay and Water Front in order to strengthen the bond between them.
